In a gallery in Amsterdam, I discovered anatomical drawings that beautifully illustrate my attitude towards interactions with others: If we act thoughtfully, with curiosity, with open hands, and with an open heart, we can achieve a lot.<\/p>\n
From an early age, I wanted to establish connections between people through mediation and translation. I am particularly interested in why people behave the way they do.<\/p>\n
My international business studies combined with a basic education in psychology provided the theoretical framework for my position as an HR manager in an international corporation.<\/p>\n
However, the practice was much more fascinating. I had the opportunity to accompany people and put them at the center through targeted support and appreciation. When my colleagues said, “Marlies, you are always the connecting element,” I understood why they sought my advice in small and large conflicts.<\/p>\n
